Tapered drill rods

Details

Tapered drill rods are used for rock drilling, blasting, and other drilling operations in quarries, coal mines, road construction, and other building projects. They are used with tapered drill bits and are available in various lengths to meet different application needs. Our tapered drill rods offer a variety of taper angles; typically, light-duty rock drills use a taper angle of 7 degrees or less, while heavy-duty rock drills primarily use a taper angle of 11 or 12 degrees. The basic principle is that the taper angle of the drill rod and the drill bit should be consistent. We offer tapered drill rods with various shank configurations and hexagonal steel diameters suitable for handheld pneumatic drills.
