Recently, Encounter Resources announced significant exploration progress at its Aileron project in the West Arunta region of Western Australia. The discovery of high-grade niobium resources east of the Green deposit, along with confirmation of extensive niobium-rare earth mineralization at the Elephant Island fault, has injected strong momentum into mining development in the region. According to exploration data, the newly discovered high-grade ore bodies show significant results: east of the Green deposit, 18 meters of mineralization were found at a depth of 45 meters, with a niobium oxide grade of 1.3%, including an 8-meter thick section with a grade of 2.2%; and 18 meters of mineralization were found at a depth of 32 meters, with a grade of 0.9%, including a 13-meter thick section with a grade of 1.1%. Exploration at the Elephant Island fault confirmed the existence of a large carbonatite system extending over 8 kilometers. 18 meters of mineralization were found from a depth of 66 meters to the end of the drill hole, with a niobium grade of 0.7% and a total rare earth oxide (TREO) grade of 0.2%, including rich sections with a niobium grade of 1.8% and a TREO grade of 0.6% over 1 meter. Currently, the three deposits at the Aileron project have a combined ore resource of 19.2 million tons with a grade of 1.74%. Encounter Resources plans to update the resource estimate and advance further development studies in the first half of next year.
